The staff at Blue Skies Behavioral Group are compassionate, professional, and highly trained, with all clinicians holding certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) within their respective credentialing categories. Our team is deeply passionate about providing meaningful, ethical care that centers each individual we serve.

The Team

Kyle Kahnweiler M.ED, BCBA (He, Him) Founder, Director

Kyle earned both undergraduate and graduate degrees at Vanderbilt University's Peabody College, where he studied Special Education, Intensive Intervention, and Applied Behavior Analysis. Kyle has lived in Summit County since 2017, where he has worked as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Special Education teacher, and Adaptive Ski Instructor. He is passionate about Summit County and supporting members of the community with disabilities.

Kyle obtuvo sus títulos de grado y posgrado en el Peabody College de la Universidad de Vanderbilt, donde estudió Educación Especial, Intervención Intensiva y Análisis Aplicado de la Conducta. Eilis McGovern (She, Her) Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Eilis earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Loyola University Maryland and completed her graduate studies at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a degree in Human Services Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis. Eilis has experience working in a variety of settings and with individuals from early intervention to teenagers. Eilis moved to Colorado in 2021 and recently settled in Summit County. She is excited to be joining the team at Blue Skies and looks forward to supporting families by providing individualized, evidenced-based services.

Eilis obtuvo su licenciatura en Psicología en la Universidad Loyola de Maryland y completó sus estudios de posgrado en la Universidad de Maryland, Condado de Baltimore, donde obtuvo un título en Psicología de Servicios Humanos con énfasis en Análisis de Conducta Aplicado. Payton Fadem (She, Her) Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Payton grew up in Georgia and moved to Summit County in August of 2023. Her eagerness to pursue a career in ABA brought her to Blue Skies, where she completed all of her needed coursework and supervision to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She earned her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Special Education from the University of North Georgia and her Masters of Special Education with a focus in ASD from Brenau University. She taught a classroom for K-2 students with behavioral needs for three years back in Georgia. Payton shows how professionalism does not need to interfere with positive connections with kids, and brings the energy and love to each session. When not at work, Payton is likely snowboarding at Keystone to try to get as many days as possible!

Payton creció en Georgia y se mudó al condado de Summit en agosto de 2023. Fifi Benjamin (She, Her) Registered Behavioral Technician

Fifi is a world traveller with lots of experience working with individuals who may need some extra care and support. Having moved to Summit County in the fall of 2025, Fifi has shown that enthusiasm, love, and energy go a long way when supporting our clients each day. When not at work, Fifi enjoys snowboarding and seeing as much live music as she can!

Fifi es una viajera mundial con amplia experiencia trabajando con personas que necesitan atención y apoyo adicionales. Tras mudarse al condado de Summit en el otoño de 2025, Fifi ha demostrado que el entusiasmo, el amor y la energía son fundamentales para apoyar a nuestros clientes a diario. Cinthya Lucas (She, Her) Registered Behavioral Technician

Cinthya moved to Summit County several years ago from Peru, bringing with her passion, love, and an incredible connection for our Spanish Speaking Community. Having studied psychology for her undergraduate, Cinthya brings a deep sense of knowledge and compassion when working with clients of all different needs. If "love for kids" was personified, Cinthya would be what comes out. When not at Blue Skies, Cinthya may be found working at the Play Garten in Silverthorne, or hosting a birthday party as her clown alter-ego, "Sky."

Tras estudiar psicología en su licenciatura, Cinthya aporta un profundo conocimiento y compasión al trabajar con clientes con diversas necesidades. Cuando no está en Blue Skies, Cinthya trabaja en el Play Garten en Silverthorne o organiza una fiesta de cumpleaños como su álter ego, el payaso "Sky".

Sophia DeHerrera (She, Her) Registered Behavioral Technician

Sophia was born and raised in Fairplay, CO, and recently graduated from South Park High School. While being the youngest member of the team, Sophia brings compassion and professionalism that extends far beyond her years. As she gets ready to pursue a degree in Human Services, Sophia has demonstrated that some people "just have what it takes" and has made huge impacts to the team. When not at work, Sophia is likely found at home reading a book, or out for a hike in our backyard mountains.

Sophia nació y creció en Fairplay, Colorado, y recientemente se graduó de la preparatoria South Park. Matthew McBee (He / Him) Registered Behavioral Technician

Matthew is another mountain local born and raised in Fairplay, CO. While he joined Blue Skies as part of a CMC Human Services internship, we are lucky that he decided to stay and continue his amazing work after he finished his internship. Graduating CMC this spring, Matthew is considering a career in Counseling (unless we can convince him otherwise)! Matthew shows enthusiasm, professionalism, and strives for perfectionism when working with clients, bringing a wonderful dynamic to the team.

Matthew es otro montañés, nacido y criado en Fairplay, Colorado. Aunque se unió a Blue Skies como parte de una pasantía en Servicios Humanos de CMC, tenemos suerte de que decidiera quedarse y continuar con su increíble trabajo después de terminarla. Matthew, que se graduará de CMC esta primavera, está considerando una carrera en Consejería (¡a menos que podamos convencerlo de lo contrario!). Areas of Specialty

Treatment Plans

Blue Skies Behavioral Group will create an individualized treatment plan made to address the specific needs and concerns of each client. All treatment plans are driven by client, parent, and caregiver input, and is goal driven to address the areas of most need and make the highest level of impact possible.

Assessment and Data

All areas of treatment will be driven by assessment and session data. Assessments may consist of standardized and peer-normed tests, as well as interviews and observations. All information is considered when creating and determining the effectiveness of a treatment plan.

Early Interventions

Research has shown that the sooner a child recieves intervention, the better the long term outcomes. Blue Skies Behavioral Group works with families to identify the areas of need that will help initiate a journey of growth and improvement from the very first stages of child development.

Autism

Applied Behavior Analysis has been identified as a medically necessary intervention for individuals with Autism by most insurance companies. Our treatment team specializes in working and responding to the needs of children who are on the Autism Spectrum.

Developmental Disabilities

Children who are born with developmental disabilities often face a journey of learning how to integrate into families, groups, and other settings. We can help provide training and intervention across many areas to help these individuals become become active members of the community.

Severe and Dangerous Behaviors

Our team specializes in safely intervening in severe and dangerous behaviors that prevent others from providing help. Blue Skies can build treatment packages that address areas that include, but are not limited to, severe aggression towards others, self-injurious behavior, property destruction, and running away.

Telehealth Services

Due to health concerns, scheduling, or travel time, it does not always work to meet in person. We are available to provide services via Telehealth if any extenuating circumstances prohibit in-person services.

School Advocacy

Sometimes it is difficult to navigate the school world...IEPs, BIPs, Evaluations, it is a whole different world! We offer advocacy services to help ensure that your child is receiving all of the services at school that they are entitled to by law.
